cool maps of the middle east

So I was doing some browsing at work while there was some down time. I did a little research on the differences between Sunni and Shia Muslims. Found these great maps of the middle east. I think they are of good quality and very informative.

Why these links?

The three geography related links that I chose are some that I have visited and found helpful or inspiring.
1. The AAG site is the national organization's site and has lots of valueable links and helpful things related to a geography career or further development.
2. The next link from the Univ of NC at Chapel Hill. It is an interactive map of the geography programs of the US. It is very helpful for those interested in grad school and further education.
3. The third link is an inspiring application of GIS technologies. The site is for GIS Corps an organization that brings together GIS technicians to help in aid relief and recovery for disasters. I first ran into this organization after the tsunami hit in December, but it is good to see they are helping local areas as well.
